Rnd 1: Ch 1, 18 sc in ring, join to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 3, (skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 3) around, join to first sc.

Rows 2-5: 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc to last st, 2 sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn. At the end of row 5 you should have 13 sc across.
Rows 6-12: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.

Row 19: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch, sl st in 2nd stitch from row 18. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Finishing: Make 3 roses and 3 leaves. Sew each leaf
to the back of a rose, then sew roses to the barrette. Weave in all
